Factory Zippered Bimini BOOT COVER, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) in Sunbrella® marine fabric, produced with the same high quality, original 2010-2011 digitized patterns approved by Rinker® for the 248 Flotilla: 248 Captiva Flotilla Deck Boat:
  • Notes:
    • 2010-2011 Rinker® 248 Flotilla Model Specific Details: We MUST have the P/N from your existing canvas or cover for the 2010-2011 Rinker 246 Flotilla. Rinker® originally offered the 2010-2011 248 Flotilla in Recacril® acrylic fabric, which is no longer available. Now offered in SIMILAR (not exact match) COLOR Black, Captain Navy, Pacific Blue, Linen Tweed or Jockey Red Sunbrella® acrylic fabric, so these may not match original Recacril® canvas perfectly fabric.
    • Product Details: Boot cover to cover and protect Bimini-Top (Not included) when not in use. Some Bimini-Boots have the boat manufacturer logo (Chaparral or Formula for example) embroidered or silk screened in boat manufacturers specified thread color: typically black, white, silver or tan (gold), depending on the fabric color. Formula® uses Silver thread for their embroidered logo. If we do not have a logo available, the part is sold without the logo. If you are concerned about the logo color, please email and ask.
    • Rinker® Factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Notes: TAGSA laser-engraved, Black Rubber Tag and a White Canvas Tag are sewn into every Ameritex® (we no longer make Taylor-Made®) original-equipment canvas or cover (a laser printed sticker is on each frame), so we need the P/N (Part Number) and DT date code from the Black Tag (or sticker), or the legible Part Numbers from the White Tag if you have them for 2010+ boats. Zippers on OEM Rinker® canvas are size #8 (6 teeth/inch). Most (NOT All) Rinker® Bimini and Camper Tops have zippered frame (bow) pockets for easy installation. Rinker® installed the snaps in their boats, canvas and covers at their factory, so we cannot install the canvas snaps for you because we do not have locations (see Canvas/Snap Installation to learn about installing snaps). We can only sell canvas and covers direct for Rinker® boats over 2 years old. Rinker® OEM canvas part number scheme: Ameritex® or Taylor-Made® tags, where [xxx] identifies the canvas piece and [ccc] is the color code. Rinker® Hull Identification Number (HIN) = RNKsssssmbyy , where [yy] = model year.
    • Factory OEM canvas: Ameritex® tags p/n [1099xxccc - RK 248 DB]
    • TIP: Be sure to check your existing (and adjacent connecting) canvas pieces (and frames) for:
      1. White Ameritex® tags p/n [1099xxccc - RK 248 DB] (the tags are approx. 2-3 inches x 4-5 inches),
      2. The Ameritex®  logo embossed on the heads of the stainless canvas snaps,
      3. The Zipper Size listed above (#8 in most cases) on all zippers.

  • Size/Fit:
    1. Factory Original-Equipment-Manufacturer (OEM) patterned for the {2010,2011} Rinker® 248 Flotilla: 248 Captiva Flotilla Deck Boat.
    2. Will ONLY fit and/or zip to other Factory OEM canvas/frames with Ameritex® tags p/n [1099xxccc - RK 248 DB] ("ccc" is the color code).
    3. Only fits Factory Original-Equipment Bimini-Top Frame and Canvas.
    4. Verify Ameritex® or Taylor-Made® tags on existing Bimini Top).
    5. Check the 2010-2011 Rinker® 248 Flotilla Model-Specific-Information abovefor any other size/fit notes and zipper size.
    6. Does NOT fit Rinker® 248 Flotilla prior to 2010.
    7. Does NOT fit Rinker® 248 Flotilla after 2011.
    8. Does NOT fit any year/make/model other than the 2010-2011 Rinker® 248 Flotilla.

  • Options:
  • Guarantee: We guarantee our factory original (OEM) canvas, frames and covers:
    • Will be of first rate quality and free of manufacturing defects,
    • Will be made with the exact patterns and specifications as originally designed and delivered with the boat when new,
    • Will fit the specified boat, as long as the existing and mating canvas and frames are factory original: having part numbers, snaps and zipper size as specified in the Size/Fit and Model-Specific-Information on this page,
    • Will perform as described when installed properly.
    You can count on all of the above or we will repair or replace the item in question.

  • 12-digit HIN: (required)
    • Your 12-digit Hull-Identification-Number (HIN) (RNKsssssmbyy) is embossed on the starboard side of your transom, below the rub rail, and the HIN should also be on your registration papers (verify it with the official HIN on your transom) and may also be on your insurance documents,
    • The HIN is required to verify the boat manufacturer (first 3-digits) and determine date of manufacturer (last 4-digits) to determine the correct revision of the Bimini Boot (Factory OEM),
    • Unfortunately, the HIN does NOT tell us what model the boat is, what options the boat has or what color canvas it originally came with, so we must rely on you to select the boat, options and color from our web site.
