Factory Front BIMINI CONNECTOR Eisenglass Window Set (also called Windscreen, typically 3 front panels, but 1 or 2 on some boats) zips between Bimini-Top (not included) and Windshield. (NO Bimini-Top OR Side-Curtains, sold separately), OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) in Sunbrella® marine fabric, produced with the same high quality, original 2001-2003 digitized patterns approved by Chaparral® for the 280 Signature Radar Arch: 280 Signature With Canvas Passing UNDER the factory installed Radar Arch (this boat became the 290 Signature in 2003):

Notes:
- 2001-2003 Chaparral® 280 Signature Radar Arch Model Specific Details: The three bow, stainless steel Bimini Top has clear eisenglass "light ports" for the lights on the bottom of the Arch to shine through. The Bimini Top fabric does not have zippers along the pockets for the frame bows to pass through. The front Connector has 3 panels that zip together. The Camper Aft Curtain has three windows with an Upside down U-shaped Zippered Window with Screen in the large center panel. The (2) Aft Curtain Privacy Flaps go in the port doorway panel and the large center panel of the Camper Aft Curtain. There is a Camper Frame (two short aluminum poles to push the Camper Aft Curtains out further in the back), but no Camper Top. Chaparral® originally offered the 2001-2003 280 Signature Radar Arch in Black, Marine Blue, Linen, Beige or Burgundy Sunbrella® fabric.
- Product Details: Zips to front of Bimini-Top (Not included) and either snaps onto or slides into a track at the top of the windshield. The side typically zip to a pair of Bimini-Side-Curtains (Not included). Stainless steel Canvas-Snaps are included (IF used) but not installed in the canvas. Let us know if you need Clip-On-Windshield-Frame-Snaps or slides into a track at the top of the windshield.
- Chaparral® Factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Notes: A laser-engraved, Black Rubber Tag and a White Canvas Tag are sewn into every Ameritex® (we no longer make Taylor-Made®) original-equipment canvas or cover (a laser printed sticker is on each frame), so we need the P/N (Part Number) and DT date code from the Black Tag (or sticker). Zippers on OEM Chaparral® canvas are size #8 (6 teeth/inch). Most (NOT All) Boot-Covers have Black or White embroidered Chaparral® logo. Most (NOT All) Chaparral® Bimini and Camper Tops have zippered frame (bow) pockets for easy installation. Chaparral® installed the snaps in the boats, canvas and covers at their factory, so we cannot install the canvas snaps for you because we do not have locations (see Canvas/Snap Installation to learn about installing snaps). We can only sell canvas and covers direct for Chaparral® boats over 2 years old. OEM canvas part number scheme: Ameritex® or Taylor-Made® tags where [xxx] identifies the canvas piece and [ccc] is the color code. Chaparral® HIN = FGBsssssmbyy , where [yy] = model year.

- TIP: Be sure to check your existing (and adjacent connecting) canvas pieces (and frames) for:
  1. White Chaparral® / Ameritex® tags p/n [101xxxccc - S-CH 280/290SIG] (the tags are approx. 2-3 inches x 4-5 inches),
  2. The Chaparral® logo embossed on the heads of the stainless canvas snaps,
  3. The Zipper Size listed above (#8 in most cases) on all zippers.

Size/Fit:
1. Factory Original-Equipment-Manufacturer (OEM) patterned for the {2001,2002,2003} Chaparral® 280 Signature Radar Arch: 280 Signature With Canvas Passing UNDER the factory installed Radar Arch (this boat became the 290 Signature in 2003).
2. Will ONLY fit and/or zip to other Factory OEM canvas/frames with Chaparral® / Ameritex® tags p/n [101xxxccc - S-CH 280/290SIG] ("ccc" is the color code).
3. ONLY zips to Factory OEM Bimini-Top and Side-Curtains.
4. Verify AMERITEX or TAYLOR-MADE tags.
5. Verify that your old and mating canvas has AMERITEX® or TAYLOR-MADE® on the tags and embossed on the Canvas Snaps AND the correct factory OEM Zipper Size (#8 = 6 teeth/inch in most cases).
6. Will NOT fit after-market top or canvas.
7. Zips to front of OEM Bimini-Top.
8. Attaches to OEM windshield with Clip-On-Windshield-Frame-Snaps, Stainless steel Snap-Stud-Screws or Keder Welt that slides into a track on the top of the windshield.
9. Stainless steel Canvas-Snaps are included (If used) but NOT installed in the canvas (to allow for a perfect fit), so a Snap-Tool may be required.
10. Check the 2001-2003 Chaparral® 280 Signature Radar Arch Model-Specific-Information abovefor any other size/fit notes and zipper size.
11. Does NOT fit Chaparral® 280 Signature Radar Arch prior to 2001.
12. Does NOT fit Chaparral® 280 Signature Radar Arch after 2003.
13. Does NOT fit any year/make/model other than the 2001-2003 Chaparral® 280 Signature Radar Arch.

- Will fit the specified boat, as long as the existing and mating canvas and frames are factory original: having part numbers, snaps and zipper size as specified in the Size/Fit and Model-Specific-Information on this page,
- Will perform as described when installed properly.

Your 12-digit Hull-Identification-Number (HIN) (FGBsssssmbyy) is embossed on the starboard side of your transom, below the rub rail, and the HIN should also be on your registration papers (verify it with the official HIN on your transom) and may also be on your insurance documents,
The HIN is required to verify the boat manufacturer (first 3-digits) and determine date of manufacturer (last 4-digits) to determine the correct revision of the Bimini Connector (Factory OEM),
Unfortunately, the HIN does NOT tell us what model the boat is, what options the boat has or what color canvas it originally came with, so we must rely on you to select the boat, options and color from our web site.
