- 2006-2007 Monterey® 290 Cruiser Ameritex Model Specific Details: Both Ameritex® and Boatswains Locker made canvas for the 2007 290 Cruiser, so be sure to check which you have, as they are NOT inter- changeable. Stainless steel top frames. The Camper Aft Curtain has an U-Shaped Zippered window with screen. Monterey® originally offered the 2006-2007 290 Cruiser Ameritex in Black, Captain Navy, Linen Tweed, Jockey Red or Burgundy Sunbrella® with SeaMark® (vinyl lined, waterproof Sunbrella) tops fabric.
- Product Details: Replaces worn, damaged or old Bimini-Top-Canvas. Canvas only with Zippers for Front Connector, Side-Curtains (and Aft-Drop-Curtain if so equipped). No Frame, Connector, Curtains, Boot or Valance included - sold separately. Factory Original-Equipment (OEM) canvas made-to-order.
- Monterey® Factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Notes: For Ameritex® (Not Great Lakes or BLI®) canvas, covers & frames: A laser-engraved, black rubber tag is sewn into every Ameritex® (we no longer make Taylor-Made®) original-equipment canvas or cover (a laser printed sticker is on each frame), and the only way we are able to manufacture the exact canvas, cover or frame specific to your boat is if you provide the part number (P/N) on that tag. We will require the P/N (112350xxx and Greater) and DT date code fromthe tag (or sticker). WE WILL MAKE THIS EXACT PART NUMBER, so there are NO RETURNS, REFUNDS or EXCHANGES. Zippers on OEM Monterey® canvas are size #8 (6 teeth/inch). Monterey® installed the snaps in their boats, canvas and covers at their factory, so we cannot install the canvas snaps for you because we do not have locations (see Canvas/Snap Installation to learn about installing snaps). We can only sell canvas and covers direct for Monterey® boats over 2 years old. Monterey® OEM canvas part number scheme: tags, where [xxxx] identifies the canvas piece and [ccc] is the color code. Monterey® Hull Identification Number (HIN)= RGFsssssmbyy , where [yy] = model year.

- TIP: Be sure to check your existing (and adjacent connecting) canvas pieces (and frames) for:
  1. White Ameritex® tags p/n [1046xxccc] or [105842ccc cockpit-cover] (the tags are approx. 2-3 inches x 4-5 inches),
  2. The Ameritex® logo embossed on the heads of the stainless canvas snaps,
  3. The Zipper Size listed above (#8 in most cases) on all zippers.

Size/Fit:
1. Factory Original-Equipment-Manufacturer (OEM) patterned for the {2006,2007} Monterey® 290 Cruiser Ameritex: 290CR Cruiser with forward facing, factory installed Radar Arch and Ameritex(r) tags.
2. Will ONLY fit and/or zip to other Factory OEM canvas/frames with Ameritex® tags p/n [1046xxccc] or [105842ccc cockpit-cover] ("ccc" is the color code).
3. Pockets (some are zippered) to fit on Factory OEM Bimini-Top Frame.
4. Zips to front Connector and Side-Curtains (NOT included).
5. Verify that your old and mating canvas has AMERITEX® or TAYLOR-MADE® on the tags and embossed on the Canvas Snaps AND the correct factory OEM Zipper Size (#8 = 6 teeth/inch in most cases).
6. Typically zips to factory Radar-Arch, Arch-Connection (zipper strip) or front of Camper-Top (no tincluded) at Rear (or may be stand-alone).
7. Check the 2006-2007 Monterey® 290 Cruiser Ameritex Model-Specific-Information abovefor any other size/fit notes and zipper size.
8. Does NOT fit Monterey® 290 Cruiser Ameritex prior to 2006.
9. Does NOT fit Monterey® 290 Cruiser Ameritex after 2007.
10. Does NOT fit any year/make/model other than the 2006-2007 Monterey® 290 Cruiser Ameritex.

Your 12-digit Hull-Identification-Number (HIN) (RGFsssssmbyy) is embossed on the starboard side of your transom, below the rub rail, and the HIN should also be on your registration papers (verify it with the official HIN on your transom) and may also be on your insurance documents,
The HIN is required to verify the boat manufacturer (first 3-digits) and determine date of manufacturer (last 4-digits) to determine the correct revision of the Bimini Top Canvas, with Zippers, SeaMark® fabric (Factory OEM),
Unfortunately, the HIN does NOT tell us what model the boat is, what options the boat has or what color canvas it originally came with, so we must rely on you to select the boat, options and color from our web site.
