2005-2006 Chaparral® 290 Signature Canvas Under Arch Model Specific Details: The Bimini Top uses Two(2) Frames: the Bimini Top Frame at the front and the Camper Frame behind that. However, there is NO Camper Top Canvas (or separate, aft Camper Side-Curtains) for this boat. The Bimini Top has 2 light portholes to allow lights from the Radar Arch to shine through. The front Connector has 3 panels that zip together. We also have the Privacy Flaps for this boat. Chaparral® originally offered the 2005-2006 290 Signature Canvas Under Arch in Black, Mediterranean Blue Tweed, Linen Tweed or Burgundy Sunbrella® with SeaMark® (vinyl lined, waterproof Sunbrella) long Bimini top (only 1 top, but 2 frames on this boat) fabric.
Product Details: Framework only. Order canvas and mounting hardware separately. A Bimini-Top stands above the cockpit (not connected directly to the windshield frame), while a Convertible-Top connects to the top of the windshield.
Chaparral® Factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Notes:A laser-engraved, black rubber tag is sewn into every Ameritex® (we no longer make Taylor-Made® which have P/Ns starting with 4 or 6) original-equipment canvas or cover (a laser printed sticker is on each frame), and the only way we are able to manufacture the exact canvas, cover or frame specific to your boat is if you provide the part number (P/N) on that tag: We will require the P/N (1xxxxxxxx , NO 4xxxxxx or 6xxxxx), DT date code AND A PHOTO of this Ameritex® Black Tag (or sticker) and WE WILL MAKE THIS EXACT PART NUMBER, so there are NO RETURNS, REFUNDS or EXCHANGES. Zippers on OEM Chaparral® canvas are size #8 (6 teeth/inch). Most (NOT All) Boot-Covers have Black or White embroidered Chaparral® logo. Most (NOT All) Chaparral® Bimini and Camper Tops have zippered frame (bow) pockets for easy installation. Chaparral® installed the snaps in the boats, canvas and covers at their factory, so we cannot install the canvas snaps for you because we do not have locations (see Canvas/Snap Installation to learn about installing snaps). We can only sell canvas and covers direct for Chaparral® boats over 2 years old. OEM canvas part number scheme: Ameritex® or Taylor-Made® tags where [xxx] identifies the canvas piece and [ccc] is the color code. Chaparral® HIN = FGBsssssmbyy , where [yy] = model year.

Verify that your old and mating canvas has AMERITEX® or TAYLOR-MADE® on the tags and embossed on the Canvas Snaps AND the correct factory OEM Zipper Size (#8 = 6 teeth/inch in most cases).
