Factory Camper AFT CURTAIN with clear Eisenglass windows zips to back of OEM Camper Top and Side Curtains (not included) and connects to Transom, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) in Sunbrella® marine fabric, produced with the same high quality, original 2006-2007 digitized patterns approved by Monterey® for the 290 Cruiser Ameritex: 290CR Cruiser with forward facing, factory installed Radar Arch and Ameritex(r) tags:

    • 2006-2007 Monterey® 290 Cruiser Ameritex Model Specific Details: Both Ameritex® and Boatswains Locker made canvas for the 2007 290 Cruiser, so be sure to check which you have, as they are NOT inter- changeable. Stainless steel top frames. The Camper Aft Curtain has an U-Shaped Zippered window with screen. Monterey® originally offered the 2006-2007 290 Cruiser Ameritex in Black, Captain Navy, Linen Tweed, Jockey Red or Burgundy Sunbrella® with SeaMark® (vinyl lined, waterproof Sunbrella) tops fabric.
    • Product Details: Aft portion of the Camper-Top canvas which is an enclosure attached to the back of a Forward Bimini, Convertible Top or Arch that has its own frame. When combined with Curtains, the Camper-Top fully encloses the back of the boat providing full, protected use of the rear cockpit area at the dock or underway. The Aft-Curtain has 25 to 60 standard 3/8" snaps or bungee cords, depending on the boat. Stainless steel Canvas-Snaps are included (If used) but not installed in the canvas. Let us know if you need SS Snap-Stud-Screws to screw into the boat. The boat manufacturer and RNR-Marine™ do not recommend operating the boat with the aft-curtain in place, due to dangerous fuel and exhaust fumes.
    • Monterey® Factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Notes: TAGSFor Ameritex® (Not Great Lakes or BLI®) canvas, covers & frames: A laser-engraved, black rubber tag is sewn into every Ameritex® (we no longer make Taylor-Made®) original-equipment canvas or cover (a laser printed sticker is on each frame), and the only way we are able to manufacture the exact canvas, cover or frame specific to your boat is if you provide the part number (P/N) on that tag. We will require the P/N (112350xxx and Greater) and DT date code fromthe tag (or sticker). WE WILL MAKE THIS EXACT PART NUMBER, so there are NO RETURNS, REFUNDS or EXCHANGES. Zippers on OEM Monterey® canvas are size #8 (6 teeth/inch). Monterey® installed the snaps in their boats, canvas and covers at their factory, so we cannot install the canvas snaps for you because we do not have locations (see Canvas/Snap Installation to learn about installing snaps). We can only sell canvas and covers direct for Monterey® boats over 2 years old. Monterey® OEM canvas part number scheme: tags, where [xxxx] identifies the canvas piece and [ccc] is the color code. Monterey® Hull Identification Number (HIN)= RGFsssssmbyy , where [yy] = model year.
    • Factory OEM canvas: Ameritex® tags p/n [1046xxccc] or [105842ccc cockpit-cover]
    • TIP: Be sure to check your existing (and adjacent connecting) canvas pieces (and frames) for:
      1. White Ameritex® tags p/n [1046xxccc] or [105842ccc cockpit-cover] (the tags are approx. 2-3 inches x 4-5 inches),
      2. The Ameritex®  logo embossed on the heads of the stainless canvas snaps,
      3. The Zipper Size listed above (#8 in most cases) on all zippers.

  • Size/Fit:
    1. Factory Original-Equipment-Manufacturer (OEM) patterned for the {2006,2007} Monterey® 290 Cruiser Ameritex: 290CR Cruiser with forward facing, factory installed Radar Arch and Ameritex(r) tags.
    2. Will ONLY fit and/or zip to other Factory OEM canvas/frames with Ameritex® tags p/n [1046xxccc] or [105842ccc cockpit-cover] ("ccc" is the color code).
    3. ONLY zips to Factory OEM Camper Top and Side-Curtains.
    4. Factory OEM #8 Zippers Ameritex Verify that your old and mating canvas has AMERITEX® or TAYLOR-MADE® on the tags and embossed on the Canvas Snaps AND the correct factory OEM Zipper Size (#8 = 6 teeth/inch in most cases).
    5. Stainless steel Canvas-Snaps are included (IF used) but NOT installed in the canvas (to allow for a perfect fit), so a Snap-Tool Will be required.
    6. Check the 2006-2007 Monterey® 290 Cruiser Ameritex Model-Specific-Information abovefor any other size/fit notes and zipper size.
    7. Does NOT fit Monterey® 290 Cruiser Ameritex prior to 2006.
    8. Does NOT fit Monterey® 290 Cruiser Ameritex after 2007.
    9. Does NOT fit any year/make/model other than the 2006-2007 Monterey® 290 Cruiser Ameritex.

    • Your 12-digit Hull-Identification-Number (HIN) (RGFsssssmbyy) is embossed on the starboard side of your transom, below the rub rail, and the HIN should also be on your registration papers (verify it with the official HIN on your transom) and may also be on your insurance documents,
    • The HIN is required to verify the boat manufacturer (first 3-digits) and determine date of manufacturer (last 4-digits) to determine the correct revision of the Camper Aft-Curtain (Factory OEM),
