Factory Snap-On COCKPIT COVER with Adjustable Aluminum Support Pole(s) and reinforced Snap(s) for Pole alignment in Center of Cover on Larger Cockpit-Covers, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) in Sunbrella® marine fabric, produced with the same high quality, original 2005-2005 digitized patterns approved by Chaparral® for the 270 Signature No Arch: 270 Signature With Canvas PASSING UNDER the Optional Radar Arch:
  • Notes:
    • 2005-2005 Chaparral® 270 Signature No Arch Model Specific Details: The top and curtains go UNDER the Arch, and DO NOT CONNECT TO the Arch. Bimini Frame is Stainless Steel, Camper Frame is Aluminum. There is no Camper Top on this model, just a Camper Frame and Aft Curtain (which attaches to the back edge of the Bimini Top). Renamed 276 Signature in 2006. The Bimini Top has 2 light portholes to allow lights from the Radar Arch to shine through. The Bimini Top has zippered frame (bow) pockets for easy installation. The front Connector has 3 panels that zip together. Chaparral® originally offered the 2005-2005 270 Signature No Arch in Black, Mediterranean Blue Tweed, Linen Tweed (Chaparral called this Beige) or Burgundy Sunbrella® with SeaMark® (vinyl lined, waterproof Sunbrella) tops fabric.
    • Product Details: Snaps tightly over Cockpit Area ONLY (not the Bow area) of boat. Cockpit-Cover has 30 to 80 standard 3/8" snaps, depending on the boat. Stainless steel Canvas-Snaps are included but not installed in the cover. Includes Male Snap-Stud-Screws. Premium (extra cost) Sunbrella colors are: Jockey Red, Yellow, Logo Red, Burgundy, and Orange.
    • Chaparral® Factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Notes: TAGSA laser-engraved, Black Rubber Tag and a White Canvas Tag are sewn into every Ameritex® (we no longer make Taylor-Made®) original-equipment canvas or cover (a laser printed sticker is on each frame), so we need the P/N (Part Number) and DT date code from the Black Tag (or sticker). Zippers on OEM Chaparral® canvas are size #8 (6 teeth/inch). Most (NOT All) Boot-Covers have Black or White embroidered Chaparral® logo. Most (NOT All) Chaparral® Bimini and Camper Tops have zippered frame (bow) pockets for easy installation. Chaparral® installed the snaps in the boats, canvas and covers at their factory, so we cannot install the canvas snaps for you because we do not have locations (see Canvas/Snap Installation to learn about installing snaps). We can only sell canvas and covers direct for Chaparral® boats over 2 years old. OEM canvas part number scheme: Ameritex® or Taylor-Made® tags where [xxx] identifies the canvas piece and [ccc] is the color code. Chaparral® HIN = FGBsssssmbyy , where [yy] = model year.

    2. Only fits Factory-Original Windshield, Arch/Tower (if so equipped) setups.
    3. Snaps included but NOT installed in canvas, so a Snap Installation Tool is required.
    4. Made per Factory-Original specification (many Cockpit-Covers do NOT offer special Cut-Outs).
    5. Many (NOT ALL) Cockpit-Covers have Cutouts for the Top Frames to pass through.

    • Will perform as described when installed properly.

    • Your 12-digit Hull-Identification-Number (HIN) (FGBsssssmbyy) is embossed on the starboard side of your transom, below the rub rail, and the HIN should also be on your registration papers (verify it with the official HIN on your transom) and may also be on your insurance documents,
    • The HIN is required to verify the boat manufacturer (first 3-digits) and determine date of manufacturer (last 4-digits) to determine the correct revision of the Cockpit Cover (Factory OEM),
    • Unfortunately, the HIN does NOT tell us what model the boat is, what options the boat has or what color canvas it originally came with, so we must rely on you to select the boat, options and color from our web site.
