Factory Forward Bimini CANVAS (no frame) for Bow area (aka Forward Camper Top), covers the front of the boat, In addition to the standard bimini that covers the Helm and part of the Cockpit, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) in Sunbrella® marine fabric, produced with the same high quality, original 1996-1996 digitized patterns approved by Monterey® for the 230 Explorer Dual Console Deck Boat, No Tower (NOT the 230 Explorer OPEN Center Console):

Notes:
- 1996-1996 Monterey® 230 Explorer Model Specific Details: To fully enclose the 240 Explorer requires: the Forward Bimini-Top and its Front and Side Curtains along with the aft Bimini-Top and its Side and Aft Curtains. Monterey® actually called the "Forward Bimini" (over the bow area) a "Camper Top" on the Explorer™ deck boats. The "Bimini" on this boat is over the aft Cockpit area. Monterey® originally offered the 1996-1996 230 Explorer in Sunbrella® fabric.
- Product Details: To replace worn, damaged or old Forward-Bimini-Top-Canvas. Canvas only. No Zippers or Boot. Factory Original-Equipment (OEM) canvas made-to-order.
- Monterey® Factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Notes: For Ameritex® (Not Great Lakes or BLI®) canvas, covers & frames: A laser-engraved, black rubber tag is sewn into every Ameritex® (we no longer make Taylor-Made®) original-equipment canvas or cover (a laser printed sticker is on each frame), and the only way we are able to manufacture the exact canvas, cover or frame specific to your boat is if you provide the part number (P/N) on that tag. We will require the P/N (112350xxx and Greater) and DT date code fromthe tag (or sticker). WE WILL MAKE THIS EXACT PART NUMBER, so there are NO RETURNS, REFUNDS or EXCHANGES. Zippers on OEM Monterey® canvas are size #8 (6 teeth/inch). Monterey® installed the snaps in their boats, canvas and covers at their factory, so we cannot install the canvas snaps for you because we do not have locations (see Canvas/Snap Installation to learn about installing snaps). We can only sell canvas and covers direct for Monterey® boats over 2 years old. Monterey® OEM canvas part number scheme: tags, where [xxxx] identifies the canvas piece and [ccc] is the color code. Monterey® Hull Identification Number (HIN)= RGFsssssmbyy , where [yy] = model year.

- TIP: Be sure to check your existing (and adjacent connecting) canvas pieces (and frames) for:
  1. White GLBT tags p/n [99MO230 EXPSNr -x0xxx-Acc] (the tags are approx. 2-3 inches x 4-5 inches),
  2. The GLBT p/® logo embossed on the heads of the stainless canvas snaps,
  3. The Zipper Size listed above (#8 in most cases) on all zippers.

2. Will ONLY fit and/or zip to other Factory OEM canvas/frames with GLBT tags p/n [99MO230 EXPSNr -x0xxx-Acc] ("cc" is the color code).
3. Only fits Factory Original-Equipment (OEM) Forward Bimini Top Frame with GLBT tags on existing Bimini Top.
4. Check the 1996-1996 Monterey® 230 Explorer Model-Specific-Information abovefor any other size/fit notes and zipper size.
5. Does NOT fit Monterey® 230 Explorer prior to 1996.
6. Does NOT fit Monterey® 230 Explorer after 1996.
7. Does NOT fit any year/make/model other than the 1996-1996 Monterey® 230 Explorer.

Your 12-digit Hull-Identification-Number (HIN) (RGFsssssmbyy) is embossed on the starboard side of your transom, below the rub rail, and the HIN should also be on your registration papers (verify it with the official HIN on your transom) and may also be on your insurance documents,
The HIN is required to verify the boat manufacturer (first 3-digits) and determine date of manufacturer (last 4-digits) to determine the correct revision of the Fwd Bimini Top Canvas (Factory OEM),
Unfortunately, the HIN does NOT tell us what model the boat is, what options the boat has or what color canvas it originally came with, so we must rely on you to select the boat, options and color from our web site.
