- 1997-1997 Boston Whaler® Dauntless 17 Model Specific Details: The Cockpit Cover does NOT cover the Dauntless 17 windshield. Boston Whaler® originally offered the 1997-1997 Dauntless 17 in Black, Captain Navy, Forest Green and Jockey Red Sunbrella® with Cadet Grey Mooring Cover fabric.
- Product Details: Factory Original-Equipment (OEM) cover made-to-order.
- Boston Whaler® Factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Notes: Zippers on OEM Boston Whaler® canvas are size #8 (6 teeth/inch). Boston Whaler® installed the snaps in their boats, canvas and covers at their factory, so we cannot install the canvas snaps for you because we do not have locations (see Canvas/Snap Installation to learn about installing snaps). We can only sell canvas and covers direct for Boston Whaler® boats over 2 years old. The Boston Whaler® OEM canvas part number scheme: [xxxxx] identifies which canvas piece, [cc] is the color code. 1. Factory Original-Equipment-Manufacturer (OEM) patterned for the 1997 Boston Whaler® Dauntless 17 dual console.
2. Factory Original Equipment (OEM) fit to specific boat/year only.
3. The Mooring-Cover covers the entire boat and uses a drawstring in the hem (and possibly straps) to hold it in place.
4. It does NOT have any snaps.
5. Does NOT accommodate Wakeboard Tower (if so equipped) unless SPECIFICALLY stated in model NOTes.
6. Check the 1997-1997 Boston Whaler® Dauntless 17 Model-Specific-Information abovefor any other size/fit notes and zipper size.

Your 12-digit Hull-Identification-Number (HIN) (BWCsssssmbyy) is embossed on the starboard side of your transom, below the rub rail, and the HIN should also be on your registration papers (verify it with the official HIN on your transom) and may also be on your insurance documents,
The HIN is required to verify the boat manufacturer (first 3-digits) and determine date of manufacturer (last 4-digits) to determine the correct revision of the Mooring Cover Sunbrella (Factory OEM),
Unfortunately, the HIN does NOT tell us what model the boat is, what options the boat has or what color canvas it originally came with, so we must rely on you to select the boat, options and color from our web site.
