1999-2001 Formula® 400 SS Model Specific Details: Please send detailed photos of your 400SS canvas, because there have been fit issues with the older 400SS canvas. We only have Ameritex® canvas beginning in January 1999 (12-digit HIN ending in A999 or later). Boats built in 1998 used Taylor-Made® canvas, which is no longer available. Type 316L stainless steel top frames. The Camper Aft Curtain has a large U-Shaped zippered window with screen in the middle section (with roll up straps), and a zip-open doorway on the right. Formula® originally offered the 1999-2001 400 SS in Mediterranean Blue Tweed, Cadet Grey, Linen or Jockey Red (no longer available in SeaMark, replaced by Dubonnet Tweed) Sunbrella® with SeaMark® vinyl lined waterproof Sunbrella® tops and Pearlescent (white) Aqualon® Arch Connections, Camper Boot and Camper Side Curtains ( OR Pearlescent (white) Aqualon® Connector and Side Curtains). fabric.
Product Details: Boot cover to cover and protect Bimini-Top (Not included) when not in use. Some Bimini-Boots have the boat manufacturer logo (Chaparral or Formula for example) embroidered or silk screened in boat manufacturers specified thread color: typically black, white, silver or tan (gold), depending on the fabric color. Formula® uses Silver thread for their embroidered logo. If we do not have a logo available, the part is sold without the logo. If you are concerned about the logo color, please email and ask.
Formula® Factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Notes:A laser-engraved, Black Rubber Tag and a White Canvas Tag are sewn into every Ameritex® (we no longer make Taylor-Made®) original-equipment canvas or cover (a laser printed sticker is on each frame), so we need the P/N (Part Number) and DT date code from the Black Tag (or sticker), or the legible Part Numbers from the White Tag if you have them OR we can lookup 2010+ Formula® P/Ns in our system (just enter P/N 123456789 if you don't have any Part Numbers and make up a DT code between 2011 and 2019). Formula® Canvas Zipper Size:
#8 (6 teeth/inch) used up to early 2005 and from 2009 forward,
#10 (5 teeth/inch) used on most (not all) boats from the end of 2005 through the 2008 model year
(it is necessary to check your zipper size when ordering 2005-1008 canvas: simply measure the number of teeth over 2 inches and divide by 2 for accuracy)
. Boot Covers MAY have the Formula® logo embroidered in Silver, Gold, Black or White (Formula specified depending on fabric color). All Formula® frame bows and hardware are Type 316L Stainless Steel. All Formula® Tops are sewn with Gore(®) Tenara(®) Thread to avoid rotting. Most (NOT All) Formula® Tops have zippered frame (bow) pockets for easy installation. Formula® installed the snaps in the boats, canvas and covers at their factory, so we cannot install the canvas snaps for you because we do not have locations (see Canvas/Snap Installation to learn about installing snaps). Formula® made their factory OEM Bow, Cockpit and Mooring Covers in-house themselves, so we do NOT have them. We can only sell canvas and covers direct for Formula® boats over 2 years old. OEM canvas part number scheme: [xxxxx] identifies the canvas piece and [ccc] is the color code. Formula® Hull Identication Number (HIN) scheme is TNRsssssmbyy, where [yy] is the model year.
