Factory Original-Equipment-Manufacturer (OEM) Canvas for Malibu® boats: RNR-Marine™ is a leading dealer for who patterned and manufactured Factory Original-Equipment-Manufacturer (OEM) canvas for Malibu® Skier, Echelon, Tantrum, Response, Launch, Sportster, Sunsetter, Wakesetter, Sunscape and Flightcraft boats from 1993 to current.
We produce new canvas (diagram explaining what each piece of canvas is called) in the Black, Captain Navy, Mediterranean Blue Tweed, Cadet Grey, Oyster, Logo Red and Sunflower Yellow Sunbrella fabric colors originally offered by Malibu®, or any color you like. Note: Zippers on OEM Malibu® canvas are size #8 (6 teeth/inch). The Mooring Cover on MOST (not all) Malibu® boats has the Malibu® logo silkscreened across the windshield area. Malibu® installed the snaps in their boats, canvas and covers at their factory, so we cannot install the canvas snaps for you because we do not have locations (see Canvas/Snap Installation to learn about installing snaps). We can only sell canvas and covers direct for Malibu® boats over 2 years old. Malibu® OEM canvas part number scheme: Great Lakes® tags p/n [yyMAmmm mm tar-xxxxx-Acc] where [yy] is the year, [MA] is Malibu®, [mmm mm] is the model, [t] is the type of windshield (S=Std or W=optional stainless) or motor (I)nboard or (O)utboard, [a] is (A)rch-or-Tower or (N)o-arch, [r] is the canvas design revision, [xxxxx] identifies which canvas piece, [f] is the fabric (A=Sunbrella® acrylic) and [cc] is the color code. Malibu® Hull Identification Number (HIN) = MB2sssssmbyy , where [yy] = model-year. Windows are made with 30ga Eisenglass clear vinyl window material. Specifications, care and cleaning of Sunbrella , 30ga Eisenglass clear vinyl and other canvas materials are detailed below. In some cases (if the boat mfgr is out of business for example) you can upgrade the windows to Strataglass coated clear vinyl (approx. 50-60 percent more cost), however the standard Eisenglass (clear vinyl) will last for many years with proper care, cleaning and storage. We utilize our library of 1,000's of patterns to produce new, "made-to-order" Factory Original canvas for your Malibu® boat. This is the same canvas originally offered from the Malibu® Factory and sold by your local Malibu® dealer (local dealers may only go back 5 years or so however, and charge local sales tax, which we do not charge except in SC and FL). No other canvas manufacturer has these patterns or the ability to produce the exact factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) replacement canvas and covers that were offered from the Malibu® Factory when your boat was new.

is a slick, semi-shiny, durable, non-breathable, 60% higher cost fabric,

Although Stamoid® is made in a

Recacril® is a 100% solution dyed, 9 ounce (per square yard) acrylic fabric
for marine and outdoor use.
It has a Flurocarbon/Resin coating to repel water and offer excellent UV resistance
and is woven in
over 50 solid colors
and over 80 stripes,
although only a limited selection of solid colors are offered for our marine canvas.
In some cases, Recacril® is no longer offered for factory OEM replacement canvas, curtains or covers,
and a similar (not exact shade in some cases) color Sunbrella® fabric is used as a replacement.

Water repellect Top Gun™ fabric is characterized by
excellent strength, durability,
tear and abrasion resistance,
dimensional stability, UV and mildew resistance,

which last longer than polyester and retain colors extremely well.

Strataglass® is available in 20-mil (0.020"), 30-mil (aka 30ga = 0.030" thick),
40-mil (0.040") or 60-mil (0.060" = ~1/16") thickness.
The 40-mil is available in a clear, light smoke or dark smoke tint,
which is a special order (adds another 10% to the cost and 2 more weeks).
We recommend 30-mil for fishing boats, since the thicker vinyl is hard to roll up offshore.
Yachts may use 40-mil or 60-mil (even more costly) when the vinyl is seldom (if ever) rolled.
Strataglass® claims a
5 year life expectancy (care & exposure dependent),
but notes that many yacht owners see 10 or more years of use with proper care.
