Provides shade, and disappears into your garage ...
The Shadow is a great value in a welded, stainless steel frame, folding T-Top for your
center console or Rigid Inflatable (RIB) boat.
The Shadow combines the fishability and convenience of a center console mounted top with the ability to lower
(or remove) the top in seconds to store the boat
in your garage, short dry stack, boat house
or under a boat cover.
Storage at home saves you $2,000-$6,000 per year in expensive ($150-$500/month) storage fees,
saving you $10,000 to $72,000 over an average 10-year boat ownership!
The Shadow mounts quickly on your center console's windshield grab bars,
avoiding those annoying Bimini top frames and straps which hamper fishing.
It is available in two universal fit models for boats with vertical or raked (angled) grab bars.

Installs in minutes
The Shadow (as well as the T-Topless and Montauk-T-Topless) mounts on the windshield grab bars of your
center console boat in less than an hour without drilling any holes in the floor of your boat.
|
|
Lowers in seconds
Pull 2 quick-release pins and rotate forward, below the windshield grab bar height in 30 seconds or less.
Or remove the 2 front pivots and unplug the light wiring to take the top off for fly-fishing or a ride in the sun!
Raises just as easily
|
|
Fits in your garage
Shadow lowers below windshield height (below the gunwales on many) to fit in your garage, a shorter dry stack,
under bridges, or under your boat cover - even helping hold the boat cover up to avoid sagging and collection of rain water.

We put the Shadow on our Yamaha 200 powered Sea Pro 180, which has been clocked on GPS at 67mph.
The Shadow was very stable, creating a little down-force which made it nice and stiff.
At the time of this video, we didn't have the current stabilizer bar (included),
which offers lateral stabiliity (reduces swaying).
The top performed fine (as you'll see in the video),
but we felt the stabilizer was important for heavier seas, so we included it at no addiitonal cost.

Continue using your center console rod holders...
In most cases, the Shadow provides enough clearance for you to continue to use the factory rod holders on the side of your console.

No annoying bimini top frame or straps!
No more ugly, bimini top or straps in your way, or flapping in the breeze.

Optional Spoiler
We added the "Spoiler" as an option in Augsut, 2010.
The Spoiler at the rear gives a new look,
increases headroom at the rear by 3.5"
and reduces the height when folded down on many boats by 3.5"
Although we don't have a wind tunnel (and don't hit NASCAR speeds),
we probably get some aerodynamic down force from the spoiler.
In our testing, on the water at 60mph, and highway at 75mph, the new Spoiler was very stable.
Some prefer the Shadow's original look, so we made the Spoiler an option.

Stabilizer Bar
(included)
Adds rigidity and lateral stability (sway control).
It can be mounted on the port or starboard side.
The stabilizer leaves you with a wide-open view looking forward.

The Sunbrella® canvas sheds water like a duck!
Note the new Spoiler at the rear of the top, new in August 2010.
The spoiler looks great, provides about 3.5" of extra head at the rear,
as well as 3.5" more clearance to fit in the garage when folded down.
So ... we dropped the price, and added the optional Spoiler ... nice!

To ensure strength, each side of the Shadow's frame is formed from highly polished,
0.049 inch thick wall AISI type 304L stainless steel tubing which is

The Shadow is a great value in a welded, stainless frame folding top which
assembles and installs in about an hour, provides refreshing shade and raises, lowers or removes in seconds to fit in a garage or
under a boat cover. This universal design is available in 3 different configurations
so it can be used on most center console boats and RIB rail configurations.
For 2010, the optional "Spoiler" offers a new look,
increases headroom at the rear by 3.5", gains 3.5" of garage clearance when folded and
provides more positive pressure on the top when towing.
